Illinois medical cannabis patients can access their account through the State of Illinois ILogin system.

After signing in, click the Medical Cannabis Patient Registry Program / Opioid Alternative Pilot Program icon on your ILogin dashboard to access your medical cannabis account.
If you have not used ILogin before, you will need to create an ILogin account before accessing the Medical Cannabis Patient Portal. The state provides a How-To Guide with instructions for creating an account, signing in and recovering an account or password.
The Illinois Department of Public Health also maintains a Medical Cannabis Patient Program FAQ with additional information for patients and caregivers.
The new portal was announced by email in April of 2025.
I first shared in January 2023 that Illinois was planning to overhaul its Medical Cannabis Portal, after Michael Morthland of IDPH previewed the upcoming portal during a meeting I attended with the Cannabis Regulation Oversight Office.
In an article that I released on January 26th, I noted that state procurement documents suggested Illinois planned to transition from Entellitrak to Salesforce, a move now confirmed with the portal’s official launch.
